At Gumstix, we are continuously adding features to Geppetto that make it easier for you to create a market-ready design. This month, we’ve released a new feature for learning Geppetto, the Interactive Tutorial.

Learn Geppetto with the Interactive Tutorial

For the longest time, we’ve had the Help box open by default. We realized that navigating it can be inconvenient so we’ve broken the information into hands-on steps with an interactive tutorial. The Help window is still accessible in the toolbar–it just won’t open on launch anymore.

With the tutorial, hints display as you interact with Geppetto. Some hints appear only once, while others disappear permanently only when you click ‘Dismiss’. For example, a hint might explain why a module is red or yellow, and what can be done about it.

Since this is a new feature, we’re interested to know what you think and whether you find it helpful. Please email us at support@gumstix.com or click the ‘Suggestions’ button in the Geppetto toolbar to send us your feedback.
